FFMPEG is no doubt a very useful software for converting media into diffrent formats..
Using ffmpeg we can convert the various type of media formats like mp3, mp4, ogg, wav etc..
Installing ffmpeg with all required dependencies is always a difficult task for newbies ..So here is tutorial for you to install ffmpeg with all required dependencies..
We will use ffmpeg installation script made by ffmpegInstaller.com ..it includes more than 28 packages to enable you to convert any media type file..
Follow the steps to install FFMPEG with all packages on Centos or Any Other Linux distribution
first of ssh to you server as root using ssh client like putty.
Enter into the path /usr/local/src by running following command
Run follwing command to untar the downloaded file.
tar -xzvf ffmpeginstaller.8.0.tar.gz
enter info the ffmpeginstaller.8.0 directory..
Now run the following command to install the all dependcies.
and ultimately run he install ssh script
and wait untill the process completes..
ffmpeg is installed successfully..
Errors and Solutions:
if you gets the message like this ..
If you think configure made a mistake, make sure you are using the latest
version from Git. If the latest version fails, report the problem to the
email@example.com mailing list or IRC #ffmpeg on irc.freenode.net.
Include the log file “config.log” produced by configure as this will help
solve the problem.
You need to install yasm on your system by yum command,
and run sh install.sh again..
you can check it by running “ffmpeg -version” command..
